Helix Vault

ZERO KNOWLEDGE. REAL CONTROL.

Your most sensitive information deserves more than a password.

Helix Vault protects critical business information using zero-knowledge encryption and independent human authorisation. Your data is encrypted before it reaches the server - meaning even Helix cannot read what you store.

  • Encrypted in your browser
  • Zero-knowledge architecture
  • Multi-person authorisation
  • You hold the keys

01 · Why Helix

One person shouldn’t hold all the keys.

Sensitive work needs a second person in the room - not a shared password in a spreadsheet.

  1. 01 RequestYou request access to protected information.
  2. 02 AuthoriseAn authorised person independently approves.
  3. 03 AccessHelix makes it available in your browser only.
  4. 04 CloseAccess expires and the information is protected again.

View

Authorised access to see information. View opens one shelf item with an out-of-department witness.

Add

Authorised access to change or create. Add updates a shelf item with an independent witness.

02 · Keys, people, control

Keys. People. Control.

Vault Master

Key holder, authenticator, and highest-level security control for the vault.

Shelf Master

Authenticator and owner of a specific shelf - the department strongroom.

Shelf Admin

Authenticator and manager of information on a specific shelf.

03 · Real security

What if someone steals the database?

Client-side encryption

Plaintext is encrypted in the browser before it travels. The server stores a second envelope it cannot read.

Zero-knowledge architecture

Identical values never look the same on disk. Helix never holds plaintext letters.

Independent authorisation

Access needs more than one person. User identity, vault password, and authenticator code - then a witness where the rules require it.

04 · Organisation

Built like a vault. Organised like a business.

Some business information is too important to protect with passwords alone.

Built by GeekyBee

Access my Vault

Use the email on your Helix record. The house shows only the vault doors that list you.

A browser may fill in the computer owner’s mail - ignore that.

Request a Vault

Send your details. GeekyBee opens a new empty host and runs the installation ceremony with you as Vault Master.

How Helix keeps information safe

Helix is built so that a stolen server copy is not enough. The useful part of your information never sits in plain text on our systems.

Encrypted before it leaves your device

When you save something, your browser encrypts it first. Helix then wraps that ciphertext again for storage. We never receive the readable letter, password, or file contents.

Zero knowledge on the server

Two identical values do not look the same on disk. Staff and hosting providers cannot “look up” what you stored. Recovery is not a forgotten-password email - it is a planned ceremony with the people who hold authority.

More than one person for sensitive opens

Day-to-day work still needs your password and authenticator. View and add also need an independent witness where the rules require it. One compromised login is not enough to walk the shelves.

What Helix does not keep

We do not store authenticator recovery codes as a back door. Lost devices are replaced through a Vault Master-led process with GeekyBee - not by downloading a spare key we held for you.

How a Helix house is organised

Think of Helix like a secure building, not a single shared folder.

House

helixvault.co.uk is the street door. Your email is checked against authorised users. You only see the vault doors where that address is listed.

Vault

Each firm gets its own vault - a separate encrypted strongroom with its own Vault Master. Opening one vault does not open another.

Shelves

Inside the vault, shelves map to departments or teams. A Shelf Master owns the shelf; a Shelf Admin helps manage what sits on it. Access rules follow those roles.

Documents

Records and files live on shelves. View is authorised viewing; Add is authorised create or update. Both can require a second person, so sensitive opens stay deliberate.

Ceremonies

Installing a vault, replacing a lost authenticator, or adding a shelf with new people are planned events - not self-serve shortcuts that weaken the chain.
